Nature of the Service

This private site does not store official custody, jail, booking, or court records. It cannot confirm a person’s current custody status, release a person, file a document, or act for a public office.

It provides reference material about sources relevant to Highland County and Virginia, including official records pathways and third-party research tools. Government requests and records access remain subject to the responsible custodian and applicable law, including the Virginia FOIA request rule.

Acceptable Use

You must use the site lawfully and in a way that respects the safety, rights, and access of others.

• Do not violate any law while using the site.
• Do not use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
• Do not use site information to make employment, housing, lending, insurance, or other eligibility decisions.
• Do not try to gain unauthorized access to the site or connected systems.
• Do not use bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools without written permission.
• Do not interfere with the site’s operation or another visitor’s access.

FCRA-Prohibited Uses

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare consumer reports, background reports, credit reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners through this site. You agree not to use any information from the site or an associated tool for a purpose covered by the FCRA.

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions.
• Tenant or housing screening.
• Credit-worthiness decisions or insurance premium decisions.
• Licensing, permit, or government-program eligibility decisions.
• Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Third-Party Destinations

The site may link to public rosters, official agency and court portals, corrections resources, legal resources, and outside search services. A link does not endorse or control that destination. We are not responsible for an outside site’s content, data handling, availability, or terms, which you should review before using it.

Service Provided As Is

Unless otherwise stated, the site’s text, graphics, logo, and code are owned by Highland County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from those materials without prior written permission.

Term Revisions

Access Restrictions

Virginia Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute arising from them must be brought in a court located in Virginia, subject to any applicable jurisdictional rule.

Severability
